Domaine Uchida Miracle 2018

This is one of those wines where you know you have something special, on a good vintage Osamu Uchida makes 2000 bottles, its cabernet sauvignon thats a joy with every sip, incredible match for game season fare as its brighter and more lifted than many Bordeaux wines.

FARMING 1ha of vines , just outside of Pauillac, his garage where he makes the wine is just 125m from Mouton Rothchild. The Bordeaux world is very corporate and this was very disappointing for Osamu Uchida, who had an admiration for the likes of Closerie de Moussis, Clos Jaugueyron and other more Terroir driven Bordeaux.

VINIFICATION Its a hands off vinification for the 1 wine he produces just 2400 bts if conditions are good, its a teeny production. The grapes are fermented and aged in 500l barrels.
