Oh we do love a Pineau d’aunis, we would have a shelf full of them if we had the space. Patapon has that lovely peppery side of this wonderful little known variety. Its crunchy and everything you want from the variety.

FARMING: Domaine Le Briseau is hands off farming, Nathalie was plunged into managing the estate on her own for a while after her talented husband Christian Chaussard was tragically killed in an accident. They are based in Jasnieres and Coteaux de Loir where she farms the small estate with her new husband Emile Heredia (another wine legend). Minimal intervention lofi farming……

VINIFICATION; The Patapon shows Pineau d’Aunis peppery side rather than its elegant side, this is the estate pineau d’aunis, the wine making is old school there is lots of foot treading and the wines are vinified with no additions. Fabulous stuff!
